Dearest Team Villa Olous!
You made this week unforgettable, with the best food and service you could think of. Fresh fish, octopus, calamari and salad prepared by Nikos and Team in a way that we just want to cry!!
The villa was a perfect spot for a family of 15 people, ranging from 3 years old to 88 years of age. The five kids loved the pool and played both tennis and football on the tennis court. The adults had fierce billiard competitions every evening after dinner.
This is all in all a place we want to revisit! Thank you!

We’ve had the best time this week! The villa is absolutely gorgeous and we’ve definitely made the most of all it has to offer, particularly the pool table, swimming pool and the games/jigsaw selection! The New York 4D Parade was especially fun, if difficult!! We enjoyed playing Scrabble in the garden on the stone seat and by the pool with the whole family and also several very competitive games of boules.

We would highly recommend the Acqua Plus Waterpark for persons of all ages. The slides are not as scary as they look and it is fun day out. Spinalonga was also very interesting as was Victoria Hislop’s book featuring it. Finally, make sure to go snorkelling on the other side of the bay as there is a host of different kinds of fish to swim with as well as shores to explore.

We’ve had the loveliest week ever and never want to leave.

The Js, Ws, Hs and Ls have had the most MARVELOUS time in your stunning villa!

Spacious, l;ight, luxiourious surroundings and panoramic views.

We loved swimming off the “platform” (only in very Calm waters) and seeing the fish, breakfasting on the terrace, feet first races in the pool and windy drinks in the evening.

Plaka is well worth visiting. So pretty. Kanali restaurant is very special.

(Don’t go to attractions on Tuesdays. They’re closed!)

We come from all over and would return in a heartbeat!

Thank you all very much for a most fantastic time. The villa is beautiful with lovely views and the staff are hardworking, efficient and always helpful in solving problems – even finding a child’s cuddly toy & going back to a restaurant to retrieve grandfather’s cap!

The shopping they carried out was excellent and really good value and even going out to collect cigarettes at short notice!

The villa is wonderful with nice cosy areas for the older people to enjoy quiet periods. We intended to visit more places but decided nothing could be better than being at the villa – except for local restaurants at dinner time.

The two meals we had in the villa were first class and we thoroughly recommend.

Thank you very much for sharing your lovely home with us. We have enjoyed a very special time. Simerona has offered us the tranquillity, quiet and privacy that other locations rarely afford. It has been the perfect jumping off point for our daily expeditions to Plaka, Spinalonga and Lato, although the house has entertained our every whim that we need rarely venture outside! Every day one finds a new secret reading place to rest before jumping back into the sea. Gerogia, Dimitris and the team have out a friendly face to the hospitlable atmosphere of Elounda and Simerona.

A memorable week in this stupendous home!

The villa is magnificent. We enjoyed the sculptures, paintings (particularly by Ken Howard), the feeling of spaciousness, the beautiful gardens maintained by Dimitris, access to the sea, amazing vistas, the chapel. Each room is quite exquisite with attention to the finest detail displayed in the design and furnishings.

What made it such a special holiday was the care and hospitality of Georgia and her team. She couldn’t have been more helpful – and fun! Nothing was too much trouble and her full and detailed knowledge of the area and facilities was invaluable. We will be back!

We have spent a wonderful week in Villa Simerona. The views are out of this world and watching the sunrise over the ocean is a magical experience! The steps down to the sea and the platform at the bottom are worth making the trip for the reward of a lovely and private sunbathing spot.

The afternoon breeze has brought welcome relief from the sun and we have all enjoyed relaxing around the pool. We have been so well looked after by Georgia and a team of chefs / waiting staff! Delicious meals!

Writing words of gratitude in the warmth of a Cretan dawn overlooking this beautiful, tranquil bay encourages you to excess but it would be hard to overstate the wonderful sublime joy of the villa. We have holidayed across Europe over the last 12 years – France, Spain, Turkey, Cyprus, half a dozen other Greek islands – two families watching children grow – and this is the best villa we have ever enjoyed. We have always had the dream of bringing our entire family to Crete to show them our heritage and culture since both sets of our parents were born in Crete before immigrating to the United States. This trip has more than exceeded expectations, which rarely happens in life. You can feel the love and great care that the owners gave to each and every space of the villa. We had a wonderful family reunion at your gracious and lovely home. The property is impeccable. The staff are on the ball and charming and the catering was terrific. It was the perfect environment to reconnect. We liked your place so much that we did not really see much of Crete…So we will need a return trip at some point.

It is truly beautiful!

I had ten special days here with my job (English actress / teacher). The staff were so warm, honest and fun! Very professional! Even the vegan food specially made was heaven! I had the pleasure of staying in the yellow Morrocan Room which I adored.

The house is truly a labor of love and is exquisite. Every detail is thoughtful and balanced. The view and pool are heavenly. Each bedroom is tastefully done. The Asian furniture, the mosaics, the Murano glass and wonderful sculpture are mesmerising. And, of course, Georgia, Dimitri and Sophie could not have been more helpful and accommodating for everything. It is hard to imagine a more perfect week or a more perfect house. This is the nicest house we have ever rented and one that is true to its environment and the culture of Crete.
